Oscars 2018: Jordan Peele Wins Best Original Screenplay for Get Out
Over Lady Bird, The Shape of Water, The Big Sick, and Three Billboards
Jordan Peele has won Best Original Screenplay at the 2018 Academy Awards for Get Out. “I need to devote this to everybody who raised my voice and let me make this film,” he said. “To everyone who went and saw this film—everyone who purchased a ticket, who advised some individual to purchase a ticket. I adore you for yelling out at the theater, for yelling out at the screen. We should continue onward.” Peele left a mark on the world as the main dark screenwriter to win Best Original Screenplay. His screenplay prevailed upon the essayists behind Lady Bird, The Shape of Water, The Big Sick, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Peele was selected for Best Director and Get Out` was assigned for Best Picture. (Guillermo del Toro and his film The Shape of Water won those two honors, separately.) The motion picture’s star, Daniel Kaluuya, was designated for Best Actor.
